About the Solitone™

We have to stick to the criteria set by Heaviside. The information to be transmitted is encoded as an electromagnetic field that passes through the cables. In order to transmit this information correctly a formula should be applied that takes into consideration the cable's line resistance, inductivity, the capacitance and over- pressing between its parallel branches. This theory applied in practice has the consequence that a correct transmission is only feasible with cables that allow for the electric conduction and magnetic transmission as well (i.e., both the Heaviside formula and the Law of Lenz should be taken into account). To this end we have developed the Solitone™ technology and the actual products based on this protected technology. The electromagnetic interaction between the conductor and the space is vital for getting a clear and spectrum-wise correct information transmission.
Materials, geometry
The main raw material of the cables is our special metal alloy which conforms to the magnetic conduction criteria and the aforementioned Lenz criteria.
The cable design is deliberately asymmetrical which is important from the interaction of the electromagnetic waves propagating around the cable and the wire itself. The different diameters of the wires make possible the conduction of the entire frequency range without compromise to the original musical signal. The vast majority of cables, either by design or by accident, alter the musical signal through over or under emphasis of a particular frequency. The Solitone cable is completely neutral, balanced and uncoloured and suited to the very finest components.
No shielding
At the level of signals used by interconnects and speaker cables, shielding is most often unnecessary and is the source of problems such as increased inductance and capacitance, which affect the sound in a frequency dependant mode, causing signal distortion. In our experience, shielding alters the purity of the signal and results in an unnecessary compromise.
Plugs, resistors
The dielectric materials and construction used in the cables are the equivalent of an air dielectric and as such, have negligible effect on the bare wire electrical parameters and conduction.
The RCA connectors are made for us according to our specific requirements dictated by the Solitone™ technology. The metal used in the external barrel is rhodium.
